Internal Door 'varnish'

    Be careful with water based varnishes on doors- It can often leave brush marks/breaks if the varnish is not brushed out quickly or properly. If the doors are bare, try using the under/ top edge to get as near to the desired colour. Use a very fine sandpaper or sand-pad (you don't want to scratch to surface of the first coat of dried varnish) to rub down between coats.

    Id go with Ronseal oil based with the first coat being slightly thinned down so to pull the grain out of the door properly. Good luck.

    Hi, have just used the osmo door oil. Great colour and look.
    It's a bit cool in the garage where I used it, does it actually set hard or does it need the sticky residue polishing off? It might just need to warm up a bit.
    Thought I'd do it in the garage to save the kids oiling themselves from the doors if drying in the house.
