This is the actual advertising picture taken from Home & Gardens magazine for a Forbes & Lomax "Invisible" socket. Now considering they probably had ideal conditions and they can't get the paper cut properly around the sockets for the advert, is is going to be a nightmare trimming some soggy piece of designer patterned tissue paper. Not sure if even the screws match
Quite clever, there is a inner plates' of primed aluminium that sit behind the Invisible plates which can be decorated in the same way as the walls giving the illusion that the wallpaper or paint finish runs seamlessly behind the switch plate. https://www.sparksdirect.co.uk/1-ga...e-with-plastic-insert-and-rocker#.V_oOIySDqiE I bet you will soon see 3D Hydrographics (water transfer printing) on electric sockets before too long.
But look at the trimming around the "T" for the sockets ... don't think it is the edge of the perspex throwing it off PS Wife just saw these over my shoulder and said these are nice - can we have these
Hope your on good terms with your bank manager... You could easily get those clear plates water transfer printed, some firms will even take a photo of your finish & convert it to a water transfer. http://www.prostreetgraphix.com/
One of those products that seemed a good idea at the time and by the 'designer' What about the poor sod that has to add the paper....... And if that's the best attempt that could be achieved for an advertising campaign, well, well, not a good advert really As above, the average householder with limited papering experience coupled with tissue thin paper...... Arghhhhhhh......it ain't gonna end well is it Agree with sospan, those screws look awful too
