Leaving the earths connected you dont know whether the fault is on a cable or a fitting. Disconnect the earths and fault gone then a fitting. Fault finding time reduced drastically.

Don't agree, you can chase your **** with parallel paths. Just leave them connected, as recommended, as required.

Fats, I have, unfortunately used 'oh my', on numerous occasions where Mr Retired Sparks posts are concerned, I have no problem with you using it as well tbh, we'll both **** him off, lol.
