    Hi There

I know there is already advice on here about plywood floor gaps - but I'm installing one which has very irregular, angled tiles. Similar to this temporary one I made for an art fair last year but more professionally done!

    I'm using the following:

    - 8mm structural hardwood ply undersheeting - nailed to original floorboards with 10mm gap around outer edge.

    - 15/18mm structural hardwood ply tiles - pinned and glued to the undersheeting

    - emulsion & then plenty of coats of floor varnish

    My questions / quandaries are:

    - Because I'm pinning and gluing the tiles to the undersheeting - can I get away with no gap between tiles ?

    - Should I still be leaving 10mm around the outer edge of the floor as well as the undersheets - or can I get away with less ?

    Any constructive tips welcome!

    Thanks
