hi all Trying to find localy a supplier of 15mm MDF board, regular 8x4 sheet, nothing unusual I though but am struggling to find anywhere that stocks this size Weird as the sheets go up in 3mm increments - 3/6/9/12/ (15) ? / 18/ Need to replace some inset cupboard doors which are made from 15mm MDF and without changing frame, the wrong size is gonna cause a problem Just seen Build Base list 15mm but £36 for 8x4 is crazy A couple of other places list it but don't actually sell it ! Why the rarity, don't get it
Not rare, just need to find a decent merchant, where are you. http://www.builderdepot.co.uk/mdf-board-15mm-x-1220mm-x-2440mm.html http://www.buildbase.co.uk/caberwood-mdf-trade-moisture-100008916-2827948 Can also get 10x4 sheets. http://www.buildbase.co.uk/caberwood-mdf-trade-3050-x-100008916-2827944
Heavy ....... what 15mm 8x4 ...... Nah, just man up geez Brought 2 sheets of 25mm 8x4 and that was heavy, especially lifting it up onto roof bars
I'm in Essex Kiab Thanks for links, just don't understand why it's £27/30 a sheet when 18mm at BQ is around £18 Seems expensive or is it a superior quality mdf (if that even exists) ?
Quite right Dave I was adding on 3mm to 18mm rather than subtracting...if that makes sense? Been a long day and losing the plot!!
It's expensive because it's not a common off the shelf size, coincidentally I need to source some too but in the moisture resistant variety, looked one supplier up yesterday, £38 + vat

All sorted now chaps so thanks Called a local timber yard, has been there forever but I had forgotten about it 15mm MDF 8x4 in stock, £21.40 inc. That's a more sensible price now innit
