Is all soil pipe the same?

mostly push fit and solvent cement ,as matter of good practice don't mix different makers. they are all OK push fit but sv tolerances vary too much for my liking .

 

The grey 110mm pipe can use either push fit uses a O ring to provide the seal or solvent joints, & is is fully interchangable between makes.
There are some good guides around from the makers like Marley, Osma,Floplast,etc which can explain things better than I can.
As to the 40mm & 32mm waste pipe I would stick with solvent weld fittings, no chances of leaks, but stick with one brand, as their can be slight difference in sizes & sometimes not interchangable between makes.
