Kitchen floor

Can anyone help with this please.
Can I get away with putting 25mm of sand down then a DPM then concrete of only 50 mm to level it up with the dining room floor or do I have to put 50 mm sand a DPM insulation then 100mm of concrete also what type sand and what mix do o make the concrete. i.e. 3-1 2-1 sharp sand soft sand
