    Hi
I have just coated my kitchen wall with PVA, ready for tiling. After looking at some of the threads, I have realised that a lot of people don't recommend the use of PVA in this situation. Could you please tell me if I should do another coat using something like BAL primer.
I will be grateful for any advise you can offer.
    Regards
    Oggy

Due to the pva, your tile adhesive won't get a proper bond on the wall, plus the pva will become tacky again, so any tiles won't be that secure.

I have no idea how a acrylic primer like BAL Prime APD or BAL bond SBR will react to a wall already coated with pva.

Course sandpaper........then wash down with warm water. Let dry. Then 50/50 SBR.
