    Hi all

A bit of help needed. Why does my laminate flooring expand in the autumn/winter and contract again in spring summer? Contrary to all the other information I can find on the www my flooring lifts in the colder months , not the warmer "more humid" ones. I thought I had left enough expansion gap at 6 mm each side on a 4m room .....

    Many thanks in advance

    Ian

'Humid' is a very widely misunderstood and misused word.

And that is precisely what I thought.... But all if the "advice" I could find kept mentioning that the warm summer air contained more moisture than the colder (and then centrally heated) winter air due it its capacity to carry water vapour prior to saturation point...

Self sanity check required this end, thank you.
