    Hi,
I know how to work out spacings for balustrades going up stairs, but what do I do if there is a landing as well as the stairs?
If I do the same calculation as I did on the stairs the spindle spacing is different on the landing.
Do I keep the spacing the same as I have on the stairs and put a spindle each end with a different spacing to take the difference?
I think it will look odd with two different spindle spacings.
    Thanks in advance

play with the spacings try 1/2 and3 extra spindles on the stairs and get as close to 10mm difference or less
as in say 86 on the stairs and 93mm on the landing wont show

If you measure the gaps at a level horizontal they will be the same, though that might give you uneven spacing on the landing, so I would work out a desired spacing for the landing and then follow that for the stairs.

They should be spaced so that a sphere of 100mm can not pass through the spindles.
