Well... once you close the front door of the igloo, nothing seems to have changed.

The festoon lights are the ones i want and removing the plug to fit it direct to a fused outlet is hardly a major crime, you need to do this often especially with modern appliances when u want to thread flex through a small hole ect...:)

And Ion you,re a right saddo..!

I thought you had upped the ante and encompassed professionalism ... well as far as the jobs that you were doing for your customers were concerned.

I cant see how hardwiring a festoon harnesss into a correctly fused fixed outlet is unprofessional. The harness may even be supplied withoot plug...
On this occasion i will stand my ground and say ur wrong...:)

I have installed one of these but at the time i also installed a outdoor fixed fuse unit thinking it was the way to go.So not to upset the customer by removing it again and looking daft i want rto be able to use it,and besides the customer wants to use the socket for other things.
Im gonna have to remove plug anyhow to thread the flex of the festoon harness through some steel conduit,so i might aswell use fuse outlet..:)
