Hiya guys , just a quickish question if you'll humour me....

I'm thinking of installing a log/multifuel burner with backboiler to feed 5 rads , is it possible to run this set up without an electric circulation pump and if not what happens during power cuts if the water cant circulate ..... any thoughts greatley appreciated .

In theory yes but you'll need two inch pipes and the radiators all fitted above the boiler for the gravity circulation to work. In practice no it won't work without a pump.

Cheers Dave , so would it be the case that during a power cut I couldn't light the logburner .... would it overheat without circulation? It's a serious consideration as we get a fair few powercuts where we live

More of a concern if the boiler is already lit and the power goes off.
I heat my DHW from a log burner, works really well just by convection (no pump) but hot water can get very hot so we run lots of baths when its on.
