Got to earth a cast iron pipe, can't seem to find very long earth clamps. Will need to be 13 inches plus for a 4 inch pipe... Tried my local suppliers longest is 10inches. I maight use this job for the 'inspector' so don't want to join two together! 14th
Hi 14th, I would have thought that as long as the two joined clamps were proved to be secure and readings showed compliance then all would be ok.
Love, I assume you mean the tenby green boy! But remember, the clamp does need to comply to 951, as long as mechanically sound, and the stupid 951 label attached to it!
Re: Looong earth clamps Posted: Jul 8, 2009 9:19 PM Reply ask for the longest if not long enough buy two or even three join them together *** cheers I may be sparkless! Have a look at BS951:1999! ***! ****!
Are you aware, Sparkler dear, of any earth clamp that doesn't comply with the relevant standard? As far as I'm concerned, a soundly-made and reliable connection is quite adequate. Lucia x Linking ones love!
