Main Bonding - To Outside Mains Feed?

I'm informed the property we've recently purchased doesn't have satisfactory bonding!

I've run a 10mm copper bonding cable to the point where the metal water mains pipe enters the property. Is this okay or should the bonding be inside the property?

    Any advice appreciated.

Sounds ok John, the connection should be on your side of the main stop-cock, is the gas bonded too?

    Thanks for the reply.

There's a stop cock out in the roadway and one inside the house just the other side of the wall where I plan to bond as the pipe is more accessible.

The gas feed will be bonded.

    Thanks

So the connection should be on your side of the internal stop cock, also put the gas bonding on your side of the meter.
