I shouldn't be doing this at 62 We just purchased a building that used to be a grocery shop, the idea is that we can run our garment decoration business from it as we've out-grown our home! The new property comes with a sizeable garage/workshop: We'd like to use the area to carry out some of our processes i.e. our 4 metre long embroidery machine etc, however, it can get damn cold in the outbuildings and doesn't encourage their use. So, my question is, is it possible to insulate a garage so it becomes more efficient to heat? What products/method of insulating would make a difference? Thanks for taking the time to read this John
I am doing just that in my garage attached to the house, 100mm Kingspan on the floor went to SIG insulation. Insulated walls and ceiling, very cheap to do and installed a Rinnai infinity water heater (hot water only). Amazing difference.
Ooops, I must be going senile! I just posted another thread about this!!! May I ask, what did you put on top of the 100mm Kingspan on the floor? Cheers John
I've got another room for that The wire hanging in the centre is for my video projector Of course, having spent some time painting the workshop we've now decoded to cover it up!!
