Fitting two master sockets to one incoming line will it cause problems ?. The reason I ask is that I fitted an informa dialler direct into the line in and it will not pick up the line when activated as it cannot detect a line voltage. there is internet and various tills plus card machines connected. Or do I need to run another line from the main socket ?.

Thank in advance for any feedback. :)

Try having a filter on each end

Try reversing the polarity. Some diallers do not like reverse polarity. I don't think adding a master is going to do anything.

Can I ask what is the purpose of 2 masters? generally not an issue and can help if you have long runs, you could cut out the capacitors...BB filters fitted?

The only real difference from a master and secondary is a big capacitor, I trust the dialler has a ADSL filter?, bit confused at your post tbh Flats, all BT sockets are just strung off the master, if you have a problem with the dialler then it's just that.
A decent dialler will have BT in/out, this means that all other BT sockets are routed after the dialler, ie the dialler can seize the line and can thus dial out no matter what.

A pic of how it is wired may be of help ;) ;)

You say it cannot detect line voltage? Is this an error it gives you? Check the polarity and your connections. Test for voltage at the terminals in of the dialler.

Plugged a standard phone in it works fine.......... The dialler does not pick up the line at all. I phoned Honeywell tech help line they said there needs to be 50v for it to pick up the line ???????????
