    Hi all,

Just had the shell of an extension built. The plumber has left end caps on copper pipes for the radiators, so we have two vertical pipes sticking up from the floorboards.

I have the valves in boxes ready to fit with the rads. My question therefore is - how do I measure correctly to order the rads?

From the middle of each pipe the measurement is 1470mm.

    Thanks in advance

    That's cart before horse!

The rad should be sized according to the calculated heat loss. Then the pipes should be installed in the correct position for the rad selected.

You noe have to decide the height and also if you need a single or double panel radiator

Plenty of online calculators to work size of radiator for room.

There are basically three type of radiators, each type comes in various heights & widths.
