Just fitted two of these taps, one in kitchen and one in utility room of a bungalow: http://www.screwfix.com/app/sfd/cat/pro.jsp?id=54621&ts=01504 The tap seems quite noisy when running cold water, and the customer has said that the hot water flow rate appears lower than it used to be. Both taps behave the same way. Are these problems just because i was being a tight wad by buying cheap taps, or is there another explanation?
I'Ve had the same problem twice. First time I bought the cheap tap from Le Roy Merlin in Calais. Realised when I got it home that continental systems operate at a higher p[ressure than UK. Second time bought the tap from Lidls in Lincoln, the German super market chain. Same result. I think on the box it recommended no less than £.5 to % bar. Cheap is not always best though I can't understand why our taps are so expensive.
