Is there any regs saying you have to be at least 300mm away from a window when coring and mounting a 4" extractor fan? I know this is true for a flue, but a guy at work said it's also true for an extractor fan where as I don't think it it. Anyone know?

    Thanks

Not for fan outlets as far as I now.

Those measurements are if you site a boiler and refer to the flue sitings.

The only problem would be if the window has a lintel, and the normal overhang for the lintel is 150mm.

I read somewhere try to avoid discharching into a "court yard" area.
