weve bought a house and have had building work to make it open plan.
We've had plumbers move the main stop tap because we've knocked down the wall where the old sink was and they repositioned it.
Where the wall has been removed we need to fill in the uneven floor ready for new floor to be laid but we found the old stop tap and can't level out the floor.
My question is can we cement over this or do we have to leave access in case something leaks in the future?

The best option is to remove the stopcock & cap off the old pipe, then back fill & make good the floor.

If the old tap has water running through then I would get it removed. If it starts to leak you don't want it In concrete. Or just leave access to it

If you can trace the pipe back to outside the property, then cap it off there if possible..

Have they repositioned it by joining to the existing or from another position?
