Very unusual for cracks to appear on a plain plasterboard backing with no joints. No idea why that would be. Chances are - and fingers crossed - it'll be fine after you've done your repairs.
It looks good, but you'll know when you apply the mist coat of paint. What quite often happens is that the filler absorbs more of the water from the paint so swells more too. After the paint dries you might see the filled line raised slightly. If so, don;t worry - chust sand it flat again - 280-ish grit on a flat block, chust enough to level it offski. Then apply another coat...

Ruddy more cracks appear where plastered the other week! This time betwix (DA Word robbing) plasterboard and block. Obvious point to expect a crack i guess. Not amused as others have appeared too. Painted that wall too! We are thinking of lining it and papering just that wall now to make it a feature wall! (without the cracks!)
