Existing thermostat removed, nest to be lowered.

Use a water mist spray on blocks, browning plaster applied. Allowed to set for 1 hour, before scraping back by about 1mm and keying.

Use filler to go over undercoat plaster.

Use mini level within stat the level. Check to make sure 12VDC at T1 and T2, no polarity.

Trying to set up the schedule, looks like it can be programmed at every 1/4 hour intervals.

Not sure how to switch off?

i.e if I set it to go on at 5am (not that I get up this early), when would it switch off? When the temperature is reached??

Old programmer had to be set with an on and off time?

  9. For that price I'd want it to read my mind.

Anyhoo, great pics, Jit - these are perfect for those who want to do a similar job.

    Nice :)

I've got the app on my phone so can switch the heating on and off. On and off....

Parents wouldn't know how to work the nest so my mum will ring me when she wants it putting on.

    Lovely work.

Not being any good at plastering / filling, why use browning plaster first? Would Easifil have been ok to use instead? Ta

I always use browning if deep holes, as is cheaper then filler.

Just level out then scrape back a mm before it sets. Then go over with filler
