I am looking to install immediately Celotex/Kingspan to a converted garage floor. The previous diyer/builder put down a DPM followed by screed and then floor tiles on top. I want to bring the floor up to same height as house floor and was going to use 70mm Celotex/Kingspan topped with 18mm T&G chipboard flooring.
Can anyone advise if I need to install another DPM?, also anything else I need to look out for.

    Thanks JBEE

In theory you don't need another as such as long as the original is continuous and lapped an sealed to the wall DPC. What you should have though is a vapour membrane on the warm side of the insulation to prevent interstitial condensation building up within the insulation.

So in simple diy terms a vapour membrane between the chipboard and insulation.??? Also where would I find such a membrane.

    Thanks JB
