Approx quote for 18 ft closeboard fences with wooden post and gravel board, height is 5 ft 6 ins to be erected on right side of boundary. 12 ft closeboard at the back with matching gate. Overall approx. 30ft of closeboard panels & one matching gate including all materials with arris board. The panels have to be erected one by one in situ to accommodate neighbour's trees. Old fences need to be removed and disposed of. Been quoted £1300 by a small firm and £1050 by a big firm in greater London. Do not know anything about fences, pl can anybody tell me whether it is a fair price to pay. Thanks

Would prefer concrete posts, last longer than a wooden post, & no rotting..

?????, ones 25% dearer than the other, give or take. :D, personally both are a tad high, for the lenght of the run £800.00 would be about right, but I haven't seen it, so there maybe more to it than appears.
