Dome head and pan head screws have too large a head and don't have the coarse thread that you need for jointing non hardwood timber

 

One thing I didn't notice until just now - how limited the range of finer grit sandpaper is. Very few above 200 and what is ranged is mainly wet and dry.

Did raise an eye brow that the "wet and dry" has "waterproof" in the description
