I'm a newly qualified Gas Safe engineer I work in tenanted properties where the room stats are often wireless or remotely controlled from the LL so I can't always find them. How can I get the boiler to fire? Combi are no problem but I usually come across unvented system boilers. Worcester or vaillant have the chimney sweep mode but what about the rest? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
You could link out the thermostat terminals in the boiler to make it fire, but then when you test the boiler it will not be left as you tested it. You need to make arrangements with the LL to call them on the mobile and have them fire up the boiler on request.
