Moving into our new house soon.... hopefully!

Had a SE look at a wall separating the breakfast room and back lounge. He says it is brick but is not at all supporting as it runs parallel to the joists and nothing sits on top of it.

Do I require any building control to remove this wall?

It is exempt isBuilding Regulations, as it is non load bearing, unless house is listed.:)

And it don't concern BC, unless it affects fire precautions, such as removing walls to staircase
enclosures, then you need to applie to BC for consent.
