   Does any body know if the existing bitumin on reclaimed parquet flooring offers any health risks, I don't intend to scrape or disturb it at all just glue and lay to new plywood cheers

   Some contain traces of asbestos. Google a local asbestos removal company and they will send a sample to a lab for testing.
