Is a double oven and hob seperate ok on a 40 amp trip wired in 6mm. The 6mm goes from the consumer unit through a isolating switch down to a outlet plate. From here two cables come out and then one straight to the oven and the the other to a 30 amp jb where the hob flex goes in. Seems to be a lot of breaks in the cable for switching etc. Hob is 6.4 kw oven is 4.8.

    Thanks

6.00 mm t/e is ok up to 15kw (standard cooker circuit) provided it's not surrounded by insulation anywhere along it's route. 32 amp mcb is more usual though.

Yeh the run is just under floorboards and in wall for about half a meter. So a 40 amp can be left in?
