P I R replaced but problems!!

    Hi, I have just replaced a old PIR with a brand new one. The 6 wires are red, black, blue, yellow, green & white. I wired it up like for like, entered my code in the keypad & reset the tamper light. All good so far. BUT when I walked I front of the new pir to test it, the internal keypad noise sounded continuously and the tamper light came back on???? What have I done wrong? Roy.

    Did you replace the PIR because it was faulty, ie: was it doing the same or similar as the new one, if so the problem is probably within the PCB on the key pad.

    Have you crossed the alarm and tamper on it perhaps?.
