Good morning I am hoping for some advice on paint removal. I have returned home from a couple of months in hospital to find that paint has been thrown on the front of my house - namely pink fluorescent paint. It is hard to determine what type of paint it is. The surface is mainly unpainted pebbledash. It is proving very hard to scrub away so I can imagine it has been on there for quite some time. My Karcher pressure washer is not proving effective and I am reluctant to try any popular brands of paint stripper as they may damage the pebbledash. I am sure there are specialist companies out there that can certainly do it but I would prefer to do it myself for obvious financial reasons. Painting over it is not an option as the front of the house must be "kept inline" with the rest of the houses in the street. The total area of the paint to be removed is around 40cm X 70cm. Any help or advice would be very much appreciated. Cheers! Bernie
You could try a non non-caustic paint stripper, might need a couple of applications. Used item below, here to remove green gloss from a wall applied left for 30 minutes or so, then jet wash off. Took two applications, as it was thicker in one place, no damage to faced stonework. http://www.screwfix.com/p/no-nonsense-paint-varnish-stripper-500ml/17091
