Painting new plaster. Possible problem?

    Hello,

We have plastered the wall of a room with plaster boards and only the joints were skimmed.

Our decorator has used Diall Plaster Sealer (http://www.diy.com/departments/bq-quick-dry-ready-to-use-plaster-sealant-1l/226926_BQ.prd ) and then painted with (2-3?) coats of Dulux. Also, we suspect that not enough time was left between coats (all was done in 4 hours; it was a small room, and dry and warm weather, but still...), particularly after the sealer. We are not sure how much sealer was used. Painting was done 3 months after plastering.

One month after we still lave a chemical smell in the room. There was no smell in the room before painting.

Will this smell go? Or something was done wrong? Thank you for any opinion.

Just to add that Diall Plaster Sealer seems to look like diluted PVA (the label does not say what it exactly contains)
