I will soon be painting some tatty oldish teak veneered furniture. I was anticipating to be using Zinsser Cover Stain Primer White as I used before on MDF as recomended on this forum. Would this be a good approach? Of course I'll be sanding and cleaning with sugar soap first Thanks, Steve
Yeah probably the best choice of the Zinsser range, take into account that Teak contains natural oils so would benefit from a wipe over with white spirit prior to painting.
A good point, I would have washed it first too as the surface is grubby (filthy really) and allow it to thoureghly dry, then any raised grain can be sanded off. Thanks, Steve
