I will soon be painting some tatty oldish teak veneered furniture.

I was anticipating to be using Zinsser Cover Stain Primer White as I used before on MDF as recomended on this forum. Would this be a good approach?

Of course I'll be sanding and cleaning with sugar soap first :)

    Thanks, Steve

Yeah probably the best choice of the Zinsser range, take into account that Teak contains natural oils so would benefit from a wipe over with white spirit prior to painting.

A good point, I would have washed it first too as the surface is grubby (filthy really) and allow it to thoureghly dry, then any raised grain can be sanded off.

    Thanks, Steve
