In around 2006 it was stripped and re-varnished but the colour was too dark and it was stripped back again and left with no protective finish. The obvious result is that it lifts badly in places, but settles down again in dry weather. We have got a de-humidifier in there drying it out at the moment and it has settled down again. What is the best product to re-seal the floor and would that be sufficient to prevent it lifting again? Obviously the bond to the concrete floor has been lost where it has lifted.
Osmo Polyx Oil is perfect for sealing the wooden flooring, available in matt, satin & gloss finishes. And Black Jack DPM will stick down the wooden blocks, & wear gloves when using it. http://www.everbuild.co.uk/908-DPM http://www.anti-slip-paint.co.uk/os...-29_35.html?osCsid=af8blriklirm31r9ala1bj1n07
I read polyEthylene film is sandwiched inside the floor and concrete. Does it have anything to do with the sticking together part?
