    Yeh All

    Wife wants me to put together an 6ft x 6ft patio area in our garden, could someone just advise me how much sub base do I need as I think one of them bulk bags is gonna be way to much... I reckon third of a ton which is about 12 of them 25 kg bags @ wicks ???

    At 75mm for 4 metres squares your looking at just over 1/2 ton of MOT 1.

    You can easily use a whole jumbo bag, by increasing the depth to 100mm (perfered depth), a deeper base give you a firmer area to lay your slabs on, less chance of movement/ settlement.
    Just make sure it's well compacted.
