In a completely gutted small kitchen (back to exposed brick) how much should I expect to pay for: A new 10mm needs installing for cooker, and needs to be routed about 25m length of cable upstairs under floorboards down to front of house at consumer unit. plus 6 sockets new sockets, lightswitch, cooker switch How long should it take hour wise for one electrician? and roughly ballpark what should I be expecting? Cheers guys
Ball park? What's the point? It infuriates me when customers ask for a "ball park" figure because they always hold you to it even though they say they won't. You don't need a 10mm2 for a cooker circuit, a 6mm2 will do. A new ring circuit for the sockets. Extend lighting circuit? Two/three days £750.00
OK cheers, i only wanted ballpark as a rough estimate, which is exactly what it means, not actual cost which varies on each job. Not extending lighting circuit, just using existing circuits in place and replacing sockets like for like. Majority of work is new cable fed through upstairs floorboards for a 6/10mm cable. I was quoted one days work at £500
If your walls are bare brick, there's more work than just swapping fronts. It's likely a two visit job. Can't be priced blindly. £500 sounds more than fair.
