I am restoring a dining table. I slightly sanded the varnish and wiped with white spirit then primed it with a grey primer and now really like the look of it. It will need another coat but I want to keep that exact finish.
Can I recoat with the same primer (2nd spray can) or need to find another finishing paint that will match this grey colour?

what about using a matt clear acrylic sealer? But if the primer won't alter in the sun...I'm happy leaving it as it is.

Should be fine, but yes I believe it would benefit from a protective sealer either satin (semi gloss) or matt finish as you prefer.:)

You should be able to find a topcoat the same colour.
