There are push on plinth seals to protect plinths from water damage, but I'm concerned about how to protect 22mm width oak faced end panels. Can they be treated with something (colourless) and rested on the floor - or should I mount them a few mm higher than the floor - perhaps resting on brass roundhead screws for instance. Thank you for any responses.

    clear silicon

  3. Aren't there nail-in plastic 'feet' for just this job - keeps the panel around 5mm off the floor?

I have had a fair few call backs lately from clients wet mooing the floor and ruining end panes.
Have started to silicone them all.
Product not fit for purpose and all that ....

Metro, out of interest are those call backs for any particular manufacturer? Recently installed a Benchmarx foil wrapped kitchen and must say the foil didn't feel like it offered much protection on the décor panels.
