Hi, I have a chimney breast, the fire place has been blocked up with plasterboard, I'm guessing a lintel or some description is in the wall, Now I'm after removing 50mm from the chimney to allow me to put a TV flush with the wall, but in doing this Id say I would need to support the above with a lintel of some shape, is this possible, looking at fitting TV in chimney with 100mm either side of tv to edge of breast

    Many thanks

  3. Seems like a hell of alot of work i would build 50mm false wall in front with wood studs and plasterboard to size then leave holes out for tv sound bar or what ever you want
