Sorry if not right forum... I need to lay 70 carpet tiles which I'm about to order online. The quoted cost for carpet tile adhesive is £30 but I have loads of PVA left over so I was wondering if I can use this instead. I'm guessing it'll stick the carpet tiles just fine but will they come up again if I need to replace a damaged one? Thanks
Better to use the double sided that that is sold for them, cleaner, less chance of getting glue on the pile and they can be lifted without damage to floor or tile.
Wouldn't use PVA Something like this http://www.toolstation.com/shop/p97...roduct=97257&gclid=CMn77bvx4tICFXAA0wod9voKJQ £12 a tub put the adhesive on with a comb and spread evenly and it won't go on the floor. I only fix a border around high traffic areas as the rest will stay in place by themselves. You will probably want to swap a few around as they wear so better off not fixing them all
