Red and Blue Roof Battens

    what's the difference between red and blue graded...

    both quoted in 38x25mm

    Can be various colours due to different manufacturers but usually comply to the same British Standard

    This is to do with grading the size of the batten, quality and specis of timber used and also that's it's treated timber

    The BS number has to be stamped on the batten though to comply otherwise it could just be a dye to make the batten look fancy

    Check the BS number and look up in more detail what it covers

    No, different manufactures have different colours to show it's grading.

    Can also be just different colour dye that distinguishes one supplier from another, whilst all coming under the same British Standards regs for grading / chemical treatment / etc
