I am replacing my MILs cooker because she ended up buying a cooker far too small for her needs. It was new last year and fitted within the last 10 months. The question I have is; am I allowed as a completely unqualified in the art of gas person? Or do I need a Corgi engineer to remove?

    Is it a bayonet fitting?

I am pretty sure it is.I remember seeing an odd hose before it was installed.

There's No such thing as Corgi anymore, its Gas safe these days.
But as Chippie says, if its a bayonet fitting, you can remove it.

Bayonet looks like this, to disconnect you lift and turn the round ring.

For disconnecting the bayonet fitting at the back you would have to pull the cooker out a couple of foot in order to get at it.After that you just have to push the brass fittings at the end of the cooker’s rubber pipe in a bit, turn it anti clockwise and then just pull it out.It is pretty easy and you don’t need to hire someone else for doing it.
