   Hi!
   
   Have a Renault trafic. 2.5 dci 2007 model with the quickfix gearbox which is Auto/manual. 80K miles on the clock. Well when reading all trouble when driving in auto, one gets paranoid.
   
   If I were to drive in the Manual mode instead, would that reduce the chances of gearbox troubles, etc?

   Um, not sure about that to be honest - it all depends on what part of the gearbox is prone to failure. If your not far from a Renault dealer, might be worth a visit and ask one of the technicians about it.
