We have doors from the mid 50s with lots of layers of paint. I was told to use acetone (nail varnish remover) outdoors. Were can I but this in bulk and is it better than paint stripers in hardware stores?

    Hi Citko,
Would it not be cheaper to take it to a professional strpper, I had a door done about 3 years ago, cost £25, dipped and done?

As above, don't waste your time trying to do it with the mess involved.

Look up your local door stripping company on Google, there are loads of them around the country, many offer a collection and delivery service to boot.
