3 days full rewire.. ? Plenty of sticky MT2 bunged in and surface mount accessories is the only way you would do that in that time.
I went Essex to do rewire without looking for housing association I do work for, it had Tennant's, place was full of furniture was nightmare but 2 of us did it in 3 days we just worked longer hours it possible to do empty house in 3 days no problem
Why ? Me and Lad who works for me and sometimes a labourer I just done bungalow in 2half and she had 10 skts in lounge no trunking anywhere!
Just looked at one of my jobsheets from a couple of months ago. Empty 3 bed house, no carpets - 3 days to 1st fix, usual 3 sockets in each room, tv points in lounge and bedrooms, outside light at front, sec light at rear. 2 days to 2nd fix. price was £2500.
I haven't done a like-for-like rewire in years. It's all major refurbs this past few years and I give it about 3-4 weeks labour for a four-bed. Spread over about 8 weeks of build time. You and your lad can come and work for me if you want...
Don't understand why this has surprised people like I said standard 2 bed empty house like OP wanted i could do in 3 days with no short cuts or bodge trunking
Top of my head: Day 1 - first fix cables Day 2- back boxes and drops sorted Day 3 - second fix and test Day 4 - removal of old installation. Based on two working a standard day.
It is just from the top of my head. Whether you strip out as you go or at the end it will take the same time.
Oh right..yes that must be right Mr N, a good time for you younger guys - I'm getting old now so even the bungalow would take me a lot longer then 4 days. I don't do that kind of thing now anyway.
