Rexon planer/thicknesser

    Having just read the replies to my original question quickly followed by the messages in "New topics wanted" I wondered -- would the Rexon, when I finally manage to free it from the box, be a suitable piece of equipment with which to perform a circumcision or should I stick with the chop saw? What prompted this idea is one of Norm's frequent sayings which goes something like " the cut is fine direct from the saw but I always give the piece a pass under the planer blades to take away any ragged edges that may be left and spoil the final finish.

    Just a thought.

    norm says use the right tool for the job

    in the case of this type of "tool"

    you need a chopsaw for eunuchs and a planer for circumcision

    of course sandpaper takes away ragged edges
