Rust proof RSJs inside?

Making a clean start to the new year I've been de-rusting the RSJs inside our new renovation, they'll hold up the first floor and will be partly on view. They look great cleaned up and polished but will they continue to rust? Do I need to add a protective wax or coating and if so any recommendations much appreciated?

You might find that structural steel will require cladding to provide fire protection. I'd check the details on your building regulations application before polishing!
