Im adding a second shower onto the current shower pump 15mm pipework by simply t'ing into the existing 15mm. the old shower pump is 1.5 bar and has 15mm pipe and connectors but the new one which is 2.6 bar has 22mm. my question is can I simply convert 15mm to 22 for the connections to and from the pump or must I upgrade the all the pipework to 22mm up to the 15mm t branches? showers are unlikely to be used together often but I wanted enough pressure to run them satisfactorily when they do hence the reason for the upgraded bar pump. thanks in advance.
Where is the supply fed from for the existing shower? Is the existing feed done properly? Either way, Prob best to repipe in 22mm, then tee down to 15mm for your old pump. Use 22mm from new pump to shower and reduce to 15mm as close as you can to shower mixer.
