Need to buy a small hand held electric sander ( cheap one ) for small area of floor boards.

Which sander would be ok to use.? :(

Thanks in advance for your help

Rotary orbital for the bulk, finish the edges with a palm or delta sander.

As Astra says, if you want to spend more money, but for a one-off job, then I would go with Kiab's advice. :)

Rotary orbital is ok, but if you tilt it, it's all too easy to gouge the wood.

I was in casualty unit a few months ago, there a chap with a lovely gash in his hand, he had been using a rotary orbitial sander, when he tilted it, & the edge of the spinning sanding disc sliced into his hand.:)

I have a 4" and a 6" orbital not the larger 9" which I agree needs more care when using.

From memory I think he was using a Makita 4" from a hire shop.

I think that's called an angle grinder ;);)

    Thanks for all your information.

Taken Kiabs advice and purchased TT13594SDR.

Its small enough for me to control, and not expensive.:)

Good reviews so went for it.

    Thanks Sharon
