Hi I have this saw bench I'll be renovating so that it will fully function when finished! Just would like if anyone has any information or tips that I can put to use when fixing it up, the wheels are iron and what type of engine would of been used to power the saw?
Yea it sure does won't be using it till its 100% safe want to keep all my fingers what's a riving knife? Have you any knowledge on these types of saw benches you could tell me please?
A riving knife i is a safety teature, it will stop kickbacks, & possibly nasty accidents, though some sawbenches don't have them. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Riving_knife
You will get more money for it by restoring/upcycling it as a kitchen island or table, I reckon you are sitting on a good few hundred £££ there

Don't think I will just going to replace the wood and clean the steel work make it as a portable work bench, add some draws for storage and so on.
